Combining modern elegance with cultural authenticity, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a destination that captivates the heart of every travellers.
Arrival and First Impressions – A Warm Balinese Welcome
The arrival experience at The Apurva Kempinski Bali is nothing short of spectacular, unfolding on a grand scale that immediately captivates the senses. The majestic open-air lobby, perched high atop a cliff, offers a dramatic welcome. From this elevated vantage point, guests are treated to sweeping views of lush tropical gardens, cascading pools that sparkle in the sunlight, and the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean stretching out below. Just beyond a tranquil pond, guests step into an open-air grand hall that feels more like a sacred temple, evoking a sense of reverence and awe. The ceiling, a breathtaking reinterpretation of a traditional Javanese roof—takes the form of an immense copper-toned, inverted pyramid. Sunlight filters gently through its apex, casting a soft, warm glow across the space, setting a mood of calm and wonder.
Beneath this architectural marvel lies a floor of the finest black marble, which at first glance, looks it could be mistaken for stained glass, but it’s actually exquisite stone – a subtle yet powerful testament to the resort’s commitment to craftsmanship and detail.
At the heart of the hall stand four towering wooden pavilions, reminiscent of the grand meeting spaces that once adorned the palaces of Indonesian royalty.
Their arched doorways are framed by intricate carvings of flowers and foliage, each detail so elaborate that it’s easy to imagine the years of artistry required to bring them to life.

This relaxed venue offers a family-friendly atmosphere with standout features such as a 42-meter infinity pool, cabanas, sun loungers, and private beachside spots ideal for basking in the sun.
The combination of indoor dining and outdoor spaces strikes the perfect balance between casual comfort and luxury, making it an ideal setting to savour charcoal-grilled dishes that embody Bali’s tropical charm. A highlight of the dining experience at Reef Beach Club is the daily traditional Balinese Rotisserie, showcasing authentic flavours. We opt for the renowned ‘Babi Guling,’ or suckling pig, grilled to perfection and served with traditional accompaniments—a true taste of Bali that leaves a lasting impression as we bid farewell to this beautiful resort.
As we strolled back to our suite, we found ourselves reflecting on what made the resort experience truly remarkable. It wasn’t just the luxurious surroundings or the impeccable service; it was the way each day unfolded with a sense of wonder and appreciation, allowing us to reconnect with what truly matters.
